Wyre Forest Welcomes Refugees (WFWR) has been supporting people seeking sanctuary in Wyre Forest since 2016.

We support asylum seekers and refugees living in Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley and the surrounding villages.

Our aim is simple: to help people who have had to leave their homes feel safe, welcome and part of their new community.

We are a friendly, volunteer-led organisation. We provide practical support, opportunities to learn English, chances to meet local people and help people connect with services and activities in the area.

What do we do?

We run activities and provide support including:

• 📚 English language support
• 🤝 Befriending and friendship
• 🚗 Help with transport to appointments where possible
• 👨‍👩‍👧 Support for families and children
• ℹ️ Information and help finding local services
• 🎉 Community activities and events
• 👥Volunteering opportunities
